Barock from Koch & Bergfeld recreates the feeling of greatness and pathos that for us today made up the age of Baroque from the middle of the 17th to the middle of the 18th century. Both its imaginative architecture and this silverware remain timeless.
In 1916, the workshop draughtsmen at Koch & Bergfeld – the predecessors of today's "designers" – “recreated” this cutlery pattern for modern man. They managed to move away from the sometimes overdone and therefore impractical styling of this epoch and develop an elegant new design vocabulary with fascinating decorative features echoing the floral ornamentation of the past.
This ensures that Barock is a model which is both of its time and yet also perfect for the present day. This is the reason for the popularity of our Barock collection.
